Romania is another great place for food lovers. Local street food fresh, tasty and cheap. We never had a bad meal anywhere in our stay. I think you will be safe to go to any place and enjoy the local food. Romania has the most amazing Italian dishes. All most, maybe even better, then in Italy itself. This is some places we've tried:
Restaurant Riviera, Sinaia

The  first place we tried in Romania was the restaurant in our hotel. Prices start at £1.50 for a starter or soup, but we decided to go for a meat platter for 2. It's huge and very tasty. The cost was about £20 and it was most expensive dish on the menu. A glass of local wine is £0.85. I've never had Romanian wine before this trip, but I've now started to buy it in the UK. The wine is very lovely with a very settled taste and it's great with a meal.

Fun fact: you might not know this, but Romania is one of the world's largest wine producers and the fifth largest among European wine-producing countries, after Italy, France, Spain, and Germany.
Trattorian Artisan Food, Brasov  Piata George Enescu 14-15

This place serves primarily Italian dishes and is located in a lovely building on a quiet street. The food is fantastic, we ordered pasta and pizza and they were unbelievable. Romania has the best Italian food I've ever tasted.
      Casa Matei, Berca

Driving from Buzau to Mad Volcanos, we found this little treasure. Most of the dishes are Romanian and they are cheap and fantastic. The best thing about this restaurant is the location and stunning views of the river with the mountains surrounding you. It makes for an amazing view at sunset. Even there was no foreign tourist anywhere, a menu in English was available
Suada Restaurant, Tomis Turistic Port, Constanta

About 40 min from hassle and bustle of Mamaya, the Tomis Tourist Port, makes you feel very relax. Beautiful harbour with a lot of restaurants and boats offer short trips. We picked Suada Restaurant and loved it so much that we were back three times. Mostly seafood with an Italian influence. They bake flatbread to order in the pizza oven and offer a good choice of wine. Hop on Hop off bus stops in the port, just 5 min walk from all the action.
